(New event) Sept. 19-20, 2020 - Sherman Tavern Pioneer Days Rendezvous, 3987 Dixie Highway, Dry Ridge, Kentucky. Contact David Linden at for registration or more information. Sherman Tavern was established between 1810 and 1820 as a stagecoach stop for travelers and livestock drovers along the regionally-famous Dry Ridge. Native Americans used it for travel, and during the early settlement period of the region it became a highway and a stagecoach route, now US 25. The rendezvous will depict pioneer life between 1750 and 1840. No camp fee, but advanced registration is required by emailing name, address, email address and phone or other pertinent contact information. Public hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. both days. Ice it available for sale. Directions: From Cincinnati, drive south on I-75 and get off at the Crittenden exit. Turn left. Turn right on US 25; from Lexington, Kentucky, drive north on I-75 and get off at the Dry Ridge exit. Turn right. At second stop light, turn left onto US 25.
